NTOR played their originals & favorite covers to a packed house at H on the Harbor in Port Washington! Thank you to Alan Feinstein of H on the Harbor for hosting this Concert to benefit Relay for Life. With your help we successfully raised $1,150 for the American Cancer Society. Thank you to our camera man, Christoph and Clic Films for capturing this great night on video with friends and family! Kain our lead guitarist's mom, Kim, is a Medical Doctor and a Lieutenant in The United States Navy. Their family will be stationed in Okinawa, Japan for at least a year. It is a very exciting time for them. So the band's gigs will have to be put on hold for a short time. Thank goodness for technology because they'll be able to practice and continue to write original music together! It is definitely bitter sweet! They have been very busy over the past two years... they have played 47 concerts, 30 venues for 20 charities. Pretty amazing for a band of 15 year olds!!  (and A LOT of fun). The next phase of NTOR is to begin social networking so that when Kain returns, their music will hopefully be a household name! They are maturing into fine musicians and really great people! So please keep following them when I send links and we'll see you soon. Thanks for all of your support and believing in the band. xo

The Paul McCartney Encounter
A huge music moment for NTOR. On 7/19/2010, Joseph was walking to Crossroads Music in the Amagansett Square and saw Sir Paul McCartney and said hello.  The next day Joseph was waiting for friends to finish up with music lessons and Sir Paul recognized Joseph from the day before.  He asked if he was taking another lesson and Joseph said he was waiting for his friends. Joseph got up his nerve and walked over to Sir Paul who was with his girlfriend, Nancy, who was so kind! Joseph told Sir Paul that he was a huge fan of his anf that he is a singer in a band that covers a couple of Beatles songs. Sir Paul asked Joseph what was his favorite song and Joseph said "A Little Help From my Friends". Sir Paul told Joseph that he remembered writing that song and hummed it. (AMAZING!) Then Joseph worked up his nerve and handed Sir Paul the band's promo card with their website and said he should check it out! Joseph saw Paul McCartney another time after NTOR was invited to play over Labor Day in the Amagansett Square at a free concert promoted by the Stephen Talkhouse to benefit Autism Speaks. Unfortunately, Sir Paul was not able to attend but wished Joe and the band good luck at the benefit concert! Posted on 8/10/2010 by pink sista
